Fabulous sound! The 2016 remixes of PF are highly recommendable

My pressing is really good! It has very little surface noise and is bass-heavy. Mine had the locked groove with running water at the end of side b.

Lot of surfaice noise... It's a pitty, vinyl is new. :-/

I had to roll off a lot of bass to get this to play to my liking. Especially Side 1. Was almost wondering if i needed to reduce my tracking weight until reading these and seeing other mentions of the bass-heavy sound. I don't have any alternative pressing to compare to. Great record though, love the music on here and can get it sounding nice with some tweaks of the eq

Ok, for what it's worth I'll add my two penneth. I'm not crazy about the reproduction of the cover, specifically the blue (how anal do you want to get? It is the best cover art of all time), yeah there a few clicks and a bit of noise in places on my copy, which is noticeable in some quiet passages even after a wash (but it IS a vinyl record), and the run out groove is missing a dripping tap. Having said all that, who cares? The sound is fantastic! Considering how hard it is to get a pristine second hand copy (stoners' favourite album alert!) it's a joy to have a brand new copy. I can believe the blurb about them using the original tapes. The effects on Alan's Psychedelic Breakfast, for example the fry up and bath running, sound immense. And I'm loving when it all kicks off on Summer '68 with acoustic guitar, vocals, piano, brass and all. Oh, and can I suggest that the 'Funky Dung' section of the title track is the Floyd at their very best. Soo underated. Just like Rick Wright come to think of it. RIP.

A lot of surface noise, clicks and pops throughout the entire record. Tried cleaning, brushes, zerostat.....no difference :-(

My copy has no clicks or pops. Sound is good, vinyl is quiet. You've got bad copies.... or I've got the only one....

I agree with the rest about noise and the very loud pops and ticks.I was disappointed with this reissue as i have the dark side of the moon and wish you were here from the 2016's series which sound great!I think side A is worse and also the sound seems to be a little bit bassy.
