Reviews
- Josh Winks first appearance on the label before his famous Higher States of Consciousness released in 1995. Anyway I’m a huge fan of Tribal Confusion (Inhalation Mix) on here.
- Does anyone know where the vocal sample at the very beginning comes from? It sounds like it's from a different source than the African Head Charge track.
- Our guy Randy here forgot to mention the dope sampling of Tears for Fears in on Tribal Confusion (Inhalation Mix).
Wink knows whats good. And Turzo remixing? Fuck Yeah!!! Highly underrated. - Edited 11 years agoA standout house 12" from 1990 and Strictly Rhythm. This vintage deep house gem is brought to you by Josh Wink and King Britt! This is a very on-of-a-kind tibal A-side: minimal ala Pal Joey + classic US deep ethno/tribal house vibes circa 1990. Te Te Te Tah Tah… Timeless and deep and holds up as this is a landmark US release. Precious vinyl. "Unification" is what I would call after-hours house - laid back tempo and chill drums with an underlying square wave/bleepy (acidic), mid-range baseline. "Everyone…" (vocal sample of Yazoo "Midnight") is used along with (what sounds like MLK) "come together" for a positive, good-vibe ride. Very soothing and deep and special. Highly recommended.
