Reviews
- Edited 8 years agoNot sure what to make of this release yet - compared to Vol.2 I'm a little disappointed, however, I will review properly once I've given this a fair few spins......
Now I've listened to it a bit more, I think I get it. Underground Cinema is a real epic piece of work; it has an intro followed by three distinct passages, each building on the last. The production is some of the best you will hear, and you can really hear Krust's sound coming through although it is very subtle. I must admit, I wasn't sure about the collaboration between Om and Krust; their sounds are poles apart in some ways, but somehow it all works. I like this track more each time I hear it, although it was initially difficult to get into. I also think this EP stands well with Vols. 1 & 2. If you put all three plates together it does make a really good album. I must say I've got a fair bit of Mr Coles' vinyl now, he is rapidly becoming my favourite producer at present.
