At first I bought a bad copy but after contacting with the company they sent me a remastered version with the standard LP jacket and it is absolutely perfect.

First play of this record was awful. Very noisy, crackle & pop's all over the place. A nasty fuzz on the high vocal notes. Experienced this alot of recent. I decided to invest in a record cleaner. This was the first one I Cleaned, twice both sides. Very impressed! The record plays fine now. There is also a warp on the outside of my copy, doesn't seem to bother the sound though. I have cleaned all my records now and all sound better, some very noticeably. I think alot of records are being sent out the factory filthy full of muck in the grooves!!

Got one of the dud presses. On top of being covered in glue, the inner sleeves were ripped somehow, it sounded like garbage and no amount of cleaning and elbow grease could get all the gunk off. Emailed the company responsible for pressing it, they sent me a new one, absolute perfect, not a single complaint, sounds beautiful.

Originally purchased this album in September 2016. My vinyl was warped, dirty, and scratched. Even after a good cleaning, it sounded like garbage. Skips, distortion, excess noise, etc. Exchanged through the Bad Seeds gmail account for a replacement copy.
Took four months and three separate replacements (the first two replacements were the original pressing) and I finally struck gold on the third try...it was the repress. Repress comes in a standard sized LP jacket. It is not warped, looks fine, and plays beautifully. Finally. Along with Mitski's Puberty 2, this was my favorite record of 2016 and it was painful to not be able to listen to it.

I have the same. bought mine from FOPP in Covent Garden yesterday. I've emailed Kobalt Music Group but will be keeping this one. FOPP say they've not had any other returns and this is the only thread I can find online that mentions this problem. It's a keeper :)

I also had three failed attempts with the first pressing, so decided to wait for the second pressing before having a fourth and final attempt. This is better, but still skips on both sides. It has come with a pronounced warp and whilst it doesn't have the tracking issues and surface damage the previous copies had, it is still strictly not acceptable as a new mint copy. I will keep this one, as I have got fed up of sending it back, and the store I bought it from, RISE records are losing patience too. Overall, I am very surprised the album was shipped with so many quality issues and that they were allowed to persist into the second pressing.

I received this copy from amazon uk. sounded clean, no distortion or anything. very good sound quality. BUT - as mentioned earlier - it was warped. so I requested rot the replace. the second copy came from germany. same sound quality and same warping at one place at the edge. it is not clearly visibly while you're holding it in your hands but when rotating on the TT you can see it pretty noticable I gave up and sticked to this version. sound is perfect, vinyl clean.

Got this repress after three failed attempts with the first pressing. Finally, a copy that allows me to enjoy this album. Any and all issues have been resolved. A nice, clean copy with excellent playback, no warp, no pops, nothing at all that detracts from the songs. Also the stupendously oversized cover has been reduced to a normal size. I have been reluctant at first after how miserable the first press has been, but this one is worth your money.

My initial copy came warped. When I showed it to the dealer, he offered to open a sealed copy and see if that one would be better. It was even worse. Then he opened yet another copy which was warped, too. Three copies of this second pressing had a huge edge warp. Don't be surprised if you get one of these. Optimal Media GmbH is usually known for good quality pressings. What a shame here. Soundwise this pressing seems to be nice and clean, though.
