Reviews
- I got this single when it came out.
Side A is the regular version with some Leary samples, and
Side B is the instrumental version but with the entirety of the Leary speech sampled on A
This gave me the impression that Side A was "Tune In (Turn On The Acid House)" and Side B was "To All The Young People." This was further supported when my copy of "Meet Every Situation Head On" had a B side called "Jack The Tab" which was simply a minimal version of "Meet Every Situation Head On."
Only Genesis knows, and you can't exactly ask them now, can you. - This 12" is far more acid house sounding that then dreadful Jack The Tab – Acid Tablets Volume One
That LP was a pretty bad cut n paste idea which had relevance to acid house.
This 12" has a more exciting acid house feel with all the 303 noises you would expect in a track .
I prefer this sound to any other PTV.. As it doesn't have Genesis P vocals wailing all over it . - one of the better ptv 12 inch singles. side 1 and side 2 (track 1) utilizes timothy leary's great speech on ''tuning in and turning in. there's an lp avaliable that contains his
views on lsd, hippies and counterculture. track 3 on this 12'' contains some great samples including run dmc's ''it's tricky'' and salt and peppa. plus genesis p's rapping style is pretty good.
