- A masterpiece from a golden age of electronic music. As brilliant today as it was when I first heard it in 1994.
- 2LP repress had pressing issues. First copy had warped disc C/D, returned and was given another warped disc C/D. The replacement copy was shipped in from distributor so all I can think is that there was a batch production issue? Other than that disappointment…. The pressing sounds great on side A/B. Absolutely crushed I can’t get a copy where both discs are flat….
- Takes me to a different place. Discs are flat and centered and they play clean. Very nice soundstage.

Edifier R1700BT - Beautiful gem of a record. 11 tracks rendering lush wide ambient techno soundscapes in a beautifully austere way. 'Montreal' is a real doozy on the first side of the record jumping headfirst into vast spaces evocative of the album art. On the flip 'Slip'& 'Agile' are taut, snappy cuts with a momentum that wears the electro influences of it's makers on it's sleeve - almost a love letter from the industrial landscapes of Sheffield to the sounds articulated by Drexciya around the same time. 'Piezo' ascending pads ooze a late-night romanticism rarely bettered since it's release. The segue from the sleepy pads of 'Yulquen' into the cascade of 'Nil' is gorgeous, before the album concludes with the crunchy and agitated 'Teartear', hinting at the colder and more cybernetic sonic textures to arrive with the release of 'Tri Repeatae'. It has been said many times before but this record is for sure a landmark in electronic music and a must-listen for fans of brain-dancing refractions of techno and ambient music.
- Not sure how the original LP sounds but this is awesome. I have listened to the original music of this since around when it was released, it's been an all time favorite and getting this vinyl and playing on a good setup it has really opened up a whole new world of sound and appreciation for this. Brimming with life is my thought.
- Bought new. After running it through a splinclean, it sounds dead quiet. Flat pressing, no warp. Great mastering.. I usually void stuff like this on wax because the old CD masters sound so good, but glad I dug in. Might have to get Incunabula for the hell of it too!
- My copy sounds excellent throughout, lively and almost no noise. I just bought it new, so perhaps recent runs are better than previous ones. Only gripe is the plain paper sleeves.
- The colorgrading of the albumcover differs a lot from the original. The first release has a blue sky whereas this repress a pink one.
- Very disappointed. Side B is constant crackle throughout the first track. Also crackle towards the end of the side. Side C first track is worse with crackle and distortion again on the first track. This after a clean using a record cleaning machine. I should have stuck with my CD version. Hopefully I'll get a decent replacement copy.
