This album is coming out on 2x12" vinyl this Fall 2020.
Sober and deliberate, James Clements's lush, immersive, sci-fi ambient vibes have been a sort of sonic trademark since James started composing ambient music a few years ago. I was a big fan of the dense dreaminess conjured up in his last ambient album Fervent Dream and I think James plays on the same themes here. The music is somehow quiet and cold, meditative and lonely, melodic, heartbreaking and occasionally surprisingly deep and hopeful. As a whole, No Stars Without Darkness is one of the most immersive works I've ever heard. A timeless ambient masterpiece.
On the cd player right now...just a superb piece of sublime deep space aural bliss...float through the cosmos looking back at the pale blue dot you once called home...and keep going.

The consistency and the utter quality of the the releases by James Clements - ASC is absolutely astounding!!!
Yet again, here he has produced another magnificent album of beautiful, deep electronic music filled with beauty and sorrow. Another buy on sight album not only because it is released by ASC, but also as its released on one of the finest electronic music labels around!!
A stunning album filled with deep, cavernous sounds. You can truly imagine yourself floating in space to this.
