I've just bought the 2016 Concord Bicycle remaster, and boy does it sound good. A quiet pressing with crisp highs, well defined lows and lots of detail in between. The L.P. itself is bittersweet, with upbeat songs (Radio Song, Near Wild Heaven, Shiny Happy People, Texarkana), downbeat tracks (Low, Belong, Country Feeback) and those with elements of both (Losing My Religion, Half a World Away, Me in Honey). I haven't heard this record for many years, and playing it again was like meeting an old friend and remembering the good old days.

A great sounding and affordable reissue/repress of this. If you see it, pick it up. The ONLY thing wrong with it is the same thing that’s wrong with ALL versions of this album. “RADIO SONG” and “SHINY HAPPY PEOPLE” are still on the album. 😂 Sorry.

I concur with the consensus here on this pressing. I picked up a copy in Munich last week (Saturn) while attending the annual High End Show in the city. I have to say that my copy is perfect. Perfectly pressed without any noise, centred, flat and Chris Bellman's sublime mastering is the icing on the cake! It has been unavailable for a while but copies are available again. Grab it while you can.
It's a great release.

I've purchased and sold after few listenings. Extremely lot of sibilants on my copy prevented from pleasant listening. "Sssssss", Szssssss" Ssssss" all the time. Not acceptable for me.
