my copy (bought brand new) is quite noisy especially on the B side. do not recommend, really. and there's a really stupid cut between pigs and sheep on my end and i hate that. was this taken from mp3 files?

Very weak release, my 1977 G condition yugoslavian pressing has a better sound. High frequencies cutted, and the bass... Huge disappointment.

It’s nice but not nearly as good as my old 70’s dutch pressing. Best Pink Floyd album ever by the way.

This is my absolute favorite Pink Floyd album..sometimes...LOL As each one tends to be my favorite in cycles. Yet. Animals holds a special place in the PF portfolio. Its rocks..its quiet..the guitar solos are searing...the vocals are amazing ..the songs are EPIC and the creative spark is all over this album. Bass solo's Sound effects...interesting topics and lyrics...and the vinyl on this new release is just beautiful.. Even better sounding than the 24/192 hi res release that I also own and play thru a comparable digital front end. Animals is just scalding hot..and different than every other PF album IMO. It is intense so If you are looking for mellow...its not here...even the quiet passages are full of angst...and until now..via Vinyl and Hi Res released the album sounds better than ever.

Not the most well known album in their discography, but it's the one I tend to think of first whenever I'm in the mood to put a Pink Floyd album on my turntable. The song "Dogs" is my personal favorite in their vast catalogue of amazingness, actually one of the best songs ever made. I'm happy with the sound of my copy. Highly recommended.

Well, this is not the most dynamic nor inspired album of the band indeed. That said, the remastering is just correct, high frequencies are cut and the bass ones seem to be buffled in my copy, though I don’t own any earlier pressing to compare. What’s most disappointing is the poor quality control -too much surface noise, clicks and pops all over even after a thorough cleaning, same issue found on the remastered version of Wish You Were Here. The sleeve art is remarkable but I buy vinyls to listen to not to look at.

Very good pressing, totally silent and I'm very impressed. I gather that although the source is analogue, it was digitally remastered, but don't let that put you off.

This is a good pressing. No pops/clicks. Flat, centered. Just shy of dead quiet - background noise is never a distraction. I will leave it to others to debate the mastering.

THIS IS A GOOD version worth having and listening to. For normal money, because not everyone will buy Mint UK LP for $ 400, and when they buy, they will watch it, not play!

Some of the remasters haven't been that great but holy crap this is an insanely good remaster
