Show All 15 Reviews- One NM copy on sale from my personal collection. Bought it new to the producers when it was released. DM if interested. Thank you
- Edited 6 years agoThere are literally a dozen Turkish such comps: Turkish Delights LP and CD versions, Hava Narghile CD, Turkish Freakouts V1 and V2, Anatolia Rocks, V1 and V2, Psych Funk ala Turkish V1 and V2, Love Peace Poetry: Turkish Psychedelic Music, Istanbul 70, Saz Beat II, and the latest comp Turkish One Hit Wonders....ok all these are great, especially those that contain no big names...and that's what we need...we all know Erkin, Baris, and Cem...how bout those
unknown artists that cut a few 45s that are killer psych funk folk...more of these please...call it Turkish Pebbles and
produce a 10 volume set, and watch these sell out like rarities that they are...wish I had access to all those 45s. I
don't but the least I can do is speak to this. Ok, you Turkish citizens with all those 45s, I'm talking to you! - barf. 2014 version is terrible - and seeming suddenly ubiquitous. whoever's pressing/distributing/selling this should be ashamed. going straight in the trash.
- 2005 is slightly more shiny
2014 the cover is cropped. the writing ( Kismet Yonca ) is half missing / the guitars on the right are half cut
2014 sounds shit
Hope this helps - Worst sounding record in my collection, lots of pops, crackle throughout the tracks.. (made me think of Trax records, was this made from rubber shoes ??)
Hope they do this music justice & release it officially on virgin vinyl at a decent pressing plant.. - I have the 2014 version but for some reason in the cover it says 2005. Either way, I don't have respect to this record label due to their lack of respect for these amazing artists. The cover has 15+ typos and 2 of them are really annoying (typo of Mustafa Ozkent - They wrote "Okzent" and the song "Gel Sevgilim" where they wrote "Gel Sevigilim"). Besides that they used the Turkish characters randomly without even looking up.
Garbage... - The original 2005 copies cost double or more than the 2014's. But how are can be you sure that those 2005 on sale are the really the 2005 original? I mean, the only thing we have here at Discogs for the 2014 release is the front cover and not notes about how to establish a clear difference!!!
- Edited 4 years ago[2018 edit: this comment, as with many others below, posted in relation to the 2014 LP]
The sound on this bootleg repressing is horribly compressed; sounds like it was remastered from MP3s. Poor quality vinyl also. - Picked up at copy at Honest Jon's recently. Sound wasn't as bad as the comments on here made me expect, but curious to listen to an original press.
