There's obviously a lot of amen break tunes on Good Looking. For a while, I found the label a bit boring based on the fact a lot of singles were either Hot Pants or Amen Break tunes - but to be fair, they are the best two breakbeats. In hindsight, it was a brilliant move by the label.

I think what singles this one out amongst all the other GLR amen break tunes is the way the Amen break is EQ'd - it just gives the track a bit more energy than usual - it really does tear the old dancefloor to tatters. A wonderful, joyful record from beginning to end.

Where does the sample come from on the A-Side: "You are entering a fraternity of great honour... our thing comes first, above everything else."

Rolling, rolling jungle... Two quality tracks from Motive One who released the slightly better (in my opinion) 'Life' just before this 12".

Cosmik is a light roller with a nice little key break and a slightly jazzy, futuristic sound. Not too heavy, no amen break used here but a solid tune overall. Featured on the first Progression Sessions CD by Bukem.

Loop Progression is great... this track is one to enjoy. Begins with a tough driving beat, soft keys then gradually come in with chords - these combine with a sample... 'here's looking to the future, the future is now'. A break follows - which gives way to a massive, and I mean massive amen kick and cosmic style sounds with serious bass kicking in too. The good stuff continues with a few bridges & chords before outro beats with that heavy amen beat.

1997 was a decent year!

Loop Progression takes it back two or three years to jungle's golden age.
Classic Good Looking productions, a perfectly smooth cutting amen track with all the deep strings and usual elements that GLR are renowned for.
Being 1997 its quick enough to fit into a newer set so its always a nice addition as they dont quite make amen tunes like it anymore.
By the duo who went on to be known as the very different sounding; 'Twisted Anger'.
