Please press on vinyl or at least press Heavyweight as a single! :)

To me this album means a lot: its the very first psytrance album I tried and I madly fell in love with the whole genre right after. I still remember the day I watched a counter-strike frag movie which contains a rap track called artillery and decided to try this: Holy crap does it sound weird! The only track I liked were Artillery and Heavyweight as they are the only tracks that were 'understandable' to me at the time. Then I tried it again, again again and again, finally my mind opened much more, a door to the greatest genre on earth opened before me---psytrance. Some might argue that goa might be truer to its origin but I digress :(

The album itself is pretty good tbh. After all these years of goa tripping Vicious Delcious still occupies a special place in my heart, not only because its the first psy album I tried but also because its truly a masterpiece, a unique album standing for itself. For example the title track Vicious Delicious blends rock and psytrance perfectly to create an atmosphere no other genres can quite match; Heavyweight on the other hand is a true classic, seems like Infected duo teams up with those trailer musicians two steps from hell. Heck, they really make good trailers! Suliman rocks too though its not my cup of tea. Last but not least, the closing track Before grabs my attention, the duo really know how to please its older audience! It's old-school approach kinda reminds me of IM The Supervisor when things get really mellow and mature, with little sparks of experimantal elements.

Overall, a solid release from Infected Mushroom. More experimental and metallic, awesome all the same!

Last track is the best. So is the title track and Suliman too, actually all songs barring a few are gold. The lyrics are quite philosophical too.

I didn't like this album at all, their last album I'm the supervisor was ok except for the fucked up vocals in the title track. The first track off this album sounded too much like they were trying to emulate "Bust a move" with the guitar opening intro but not nearly as good, this sounded like they were trying to do a more technically advanced version but in my opinion they failed miserably, i can't be arsed doing a track by track comment suffice to say there was nothing i heard on this album that made me want to rush out and buy it.

Signs of Infected Mushroom losing it, in the next album they totally lost it..

Good album, very diverse, with nice melodies. I had my fun with it, it's easy to get in, easy to get out. Although I must notice, some pieces of tracks are very intense, epic, sometimes downright sick and perverted, musically speaking. (Vicious Delicious, 2nd half) Why can't IM drop all the filling and focus on making music like that? Why they must sometimes drop a perfectly good track and put a completely different key or cheesy vocals in the middle of it? (Heavyweight) That's a bad habit and it does a bad impression on the non-fan passerby listeners.

From beginning to end, this album does not disappoint. The IM boys have achieved their best work to date! Viciously and deliciously psychedelic, tracks incorporate the use of guitar, head banging drums, break-beat and other interesting musical decor.

A must have for any psychedelic fan!
