- Absolute monster of a track from that golden UK Garage era in 1999, when the sound was truly bubbling under and probably when it was at its most creative.
It’s quite dark and skippy, but somehow manages to be quite soulful. There a nice little piano line in there that gives it the soul, it has a killer vocal and a beast of drop with a deadly sub assault of a bassline which has to be heard in a club environment to be fully appreciated, music you can feel aswell hear makes it a true experience, this doesn’t disappoint.
I heard rumours at the time this got several rewinds at Notting Hill carnival that year, and on listen you can see why.
The only negative (depending on how you look at it) I can’t from this track is gave way to the more darker 2-step productions that tried to copy it, thus ushered in a more edgier, aggressive vibe in the clubs.
This tune though, deffo in the top 5 UK Garage tracks, and if you want a good starting point as to where dubstep came from, then you need to listen to this track. - Absolute classic. El-B's remix surpasses the original by far. Needs to be in every UK Garage collection.
- HUGE TUNE, this was a dancefloor killer back in the day, The bass line just smashes through the whole track,
