Reviews
- Edited 6 months agoCame across an original 66 Stereo LP at a garage sale. When I saw "With Symphony Orchestra" I almost threw it back. But then I was like, well, it is Bill Evans, and it's only $2.00, what the heck. Very pleasantly surprised. I usually avoid even well established jazz artists and vocalists when I see "with strings" or "with orchestra". My personal opinion has always been "with strings" or "orchestra" was the record company attempt to bring non-mainstream jazz musicians to the mainstream and typically find them very disapointing. Glad I kept this one. I agree with other reviewers below that in this particular outing it works.
- great record. love it for fall winter. question, my copy looks mint, but the b side has a chirp/white noise on all songs, same spot on the record. bad press? anyone else? thx!
