Reviews
- Edited 17 years agoFabulous solo piano release. Zorn's compositions skilfully played by breathtaking pianist Uri Caine ! This is 77 minutes of intensity... Sometimes calm but mostly energetic, this album is an illutration of the Philadelphia pianist virtuosity (just listen to track ten ! Amazing..). Steeped in Jewish history and culture (see the star of David on the digipak), this release is deeply rooted in Zorn work in contemporary jazz. Tracks are all in the same spirit, listen to the first one, if you like it, you should love the entire release.
