- 1 of my favorite DEEP HOUSE cuts ever. Adonis bassline vibes - pure deep Strictly Rhythm vibes. Buy cheap - play loud!
- i read that roger sanchez used to produce with an ATARI ST around the time of this ep using a software by hybrid arts known as "SMPTE track"
- Edited 9 years agoI could listen to the beginning of the No Control mix on a loop seems like forever, so deep. The use of the what seems like some type of white noise loop in the background surrounds and fills your subconscious, while the metallic and moving bass-line plays a game of catch me if you can with you. Also the use of the notably closed high-hat throughout the Lose Control side draws your attention to just how high a high hat can go. This song is a jumper, a trampoline for your musical sensibilities. The Phases side is an exceptionally stripped track with more of a pounding bass, relentless and defining. Things build up a little for some jazzy action here. One of the things that I always liked about the deep house wave of the early 90's was the bass and a some crispy highs.
