And it samples kraftwerk - it’s more fun to compete

Splendid release that still sits well in my collection. It's the "Deranged Version" with the guitars that does it for me. Remember hearing this played by Colin Faver on Kiss 100 the week of release, and I picked it up not long after that. Seems like it somehow drowned in the massive torrent of US releases coming at the time. Perhaps a little revival is due, as the "HAL 9000" reality is descending upon us.

One of ODC's many space themed house tracks. Like their other hot record, "Model 9000", there's the sample from Stanley Kubrick's "2001: A Space Odyssey" - HAL, the malfunctioning computer, over a typically excellent slice of house music.

I've heard this track so many times and it still manages to send me into a spin, as do all ODC's other tracks. Simple, yet manufactured with class and sophistication. House music that will stand the test of time. And always will be underground.
