The Lovers Rock bassline at 1:45 is from "Janet Kay - Silly Games" produced by Dennis Bovell in 1979 :)

Ah the summer of '92! First heard this one on the Jungle Tekno compilation from the Jumpin' N' Pumpin label. This and many others from that double LP really blew my mind well into the next year! I remember painstakingly recording each and every track onto a cassette, that was the soundtrack for many road trips that year. So many of my friends either tried to steal that tape, or begged me to copy it for them. I was glad to spread the music any way I could. There were not many records like this stateside, and I never wanted the movement to end. The Raggamuffin sample and gentle breakdown was a great contrast to the manic synths. Not even the best track on that compilation, but such a warm and solid piece of history.
