The sound of the Urban Jungle of the 90's is now firmly set in a complex mixture of breakbeats, atmospheric keyboards and ethnic/tribal samples. UK 'rave' music has reached a level of sophistication that puts it on a par with the most advanced sounds. Every drumbeat is designed to fire the pleasure transmitters of the brain, providing the disillusioned youth of today with relief from the drudgery of everyday life in the urban wasteland.

Also released as part of a 4 x CD Boxset in 1996 - Various - Hard Leaders - The History Of Drum 'N' Bass KICK CD 35.

You mean take the best track off the cd? Jungle Buddha - Drug Me is my favourite track on the cd.

A legendary oldskool darkside compilation here with not a duff track in sight, and too many underground classics to mention. Though my own personal favorites being Tango & Ratty's opener, 'Final Conflict', Bay-B-Kane's awesome 'Hello Darkness (Remix)', Andy C's 'Something New Pt 2', DJ Hype's 'Weird Energy (Hells Bells Mix)' and Acen's epic 'Window In The Sky (Kingdom Of Light)'.

My only complaint was the fact that in trying to cram in as many tracks as possible the excellent and extremely rare 'Drug Me' by Jungle Pirate is cruelly trimmed down to less than 3 minutes!!! They would have been better off leaving it off the album than halving the track. However all other tracks featured are full length and unmixed, so they can be forgiven. An essential purchase.
