Undoubtedly the worst of albums in The Human League's catalogue. Of course, this is not group's fault entirely up to this point but 'Crash' is one of the saddest examples how cruel the music industry can be treating its artists mercilessly at commercial expectations. So hence the title.

Electro-blueprints of Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis certainly worked with one Janet Jackson but The Human League couldn't have missed more choosing such a goofy title for the album that lacks absolutely all of their originality previously witnessed in both, albums nd singles alike. This 'Americanised' version of the League is for its best confusing - 'I Need Your Loving' is an irresistable slab of electro-funk but you can tell from the group's singing, Phil & co. desperately fight with it.

Same goes with the opener 'Money'. Horrific results for what was supposed to be a certain career-crowning album; blame it on the group's ambitions, producers' lack of time and good will, managers' greed and impossible expectations, the labels' lack of faith... 'Crash' if memorable, offers only one decent hit - 'Human', ironically not penned by the group themselves. In every other aspect of its contents, it is utterly forgettable affair. Sad and wrecked.
