Yes please ! One of the purest continuous breakbeat compositions ever created. There are so much subtle variations of the beats, it's a voyage in a world full of drums. Both the cover and the title are perfectly associated with the chillin' and bleepin' melodies. Concerning the breakbeats, they may not sound as strong as The Prodigy but, to paraphrase the tennis commentator Robbie Koenig, they do offer "an elevation sensation".

Each CD is one unique track mixing several songs from renown breaks producers such as DJ Icey, Monkey Mafia, Midfield General, Omar Santana and Bassbin Twins, just to name a few. Because the track selection is on point from start to finish.
I really like how some tunes can be episodically heard through the whole mix. For instance, in the first CD, there are several bits of "Go Off" that are noticeable here and there coupled with other choons, it's just brilliant.

If I had to choose my personal favorite section, it will be in the second CD, during the transition between "To A Nation Rockin' On A Long Journey" and "The Curse Of Voodoo Ray". To be precise, it begins at 18:55 and ends at 19:25. I am absolutely stunned each time I listen to it, this particular electronic loop (I don't even know how to call it) coupled with the high-pitched sigh-sounding background and the rhythm is a welcome to the next level.

I do enjoy this kind of breakbeat rather than other artists such as Plump DJ's because it sounds less agressive. Also, I personally find the accompanying arrangements of "Coastal Breaks" more numerous and diversified. The second opus of "Coastal Breaks", however, is a bit closer to the aforementioned English duo (and it is really good too).

If you like electronic music that sounds faster than trip hop but slower than drum and bass (although the last 20 minutes of the second volume are DnB, starting after FSOL's "Papua New Guinea"), then this double DJ mix is for you.
Let's take care of this piece of patrimony and save it as long as possible.
