Reviews
- Was very disappointed with the sound quality of this, especially when comparing to the MP3. Squashed, a bit distorted and very flat sounding. The 808 snare hits sound like paper rather than the satisfying little pop you expect. Swapped for an original copy (at great expense of course) and was very pleased to find it sounds perfect.
- I just got this from amazon. Sound amazing! All sides sound excellent, zero surface noise. I cleaned it before I played it though, the sleeves warp uses are terrible. Lots of debris.
Comes with a download card as well. - Came across this LP by accident...saw the ownership stats and the other reviews and thought I'd give it a listen. Needless to say, I don't understand the hype.
- Edited 4 years agoQuite simply sublime, I like to listen to this while I am poring over a 5000 piece jigsaw puzzle, as it is very relaxing!!
- purchased a copy of the 2018 (?) re-cut a few weeks back - sounds great!
nice and punchy, no complaints to speak of - i suggest double checking, and checking again, the setup of your turntable if you're still having problems. what a treat to be able to finally own this record either way. - No punch in 2018 repress, sounds quieter, narrower and overall feeble compared to 2017. Pretty sure it was remastered and reissued, not repressed. I kept the faulty '17 version, it sounds awesomely raw, wide and loud, despite the distortion on one track. Has anyone else had a chance to compare these two, track by track? Or was it my bad luck again?
- Mine says 17309 2B, instead of 1B in the runout. I have the same on all four runouts (2 instead of 1 but with the corresponding letter for the side) The barcode and cat number are correct - anyone else have this variation?
- No distortion in the 2018 repress! Sound quality is close to perfect. Both records are slightly off center. It's not audible. Quality control department shouldn't really be letting off-center records out of the factory.
