Reviews
- Recently purchased this one and can't stop playing it. I've been going through alot of hip hop from 88 to 90 and this really stands out. Production is superior to alot of other releases and the rapping is quality. I bought it for the A side but the B side is equally good. Choice samples, wicked little scratches and top beats. If you're a fan of golden era hip hop then grab this slice of gold!!
- I actually never heard this when it was new. I heard it on the Ego Trip 1988 singles mp3 pack. When I heard it, I immediately thought of LL's "Doin' it." This is a most definite slept on record! I've been buying records since 1984, and I don't know any DJs with this record; I never heard it on any Red Alert mixes; and I've never even seen it mentioned on any blogs. I needs me a copy!
- Edited 14 years agoThis record was jacked for LL Cool J's "Doin It" (with the dope Grace Jones sample), which also featured Le Shaun, the female MC on this record, doing the same chorus as on this, although this version is a bit more adult orientated with Le Shaun doing some moaning noises at the end and telling tales of her bedroom antics. This record seems a bit slept on, I thought the LL version would have made this resurface a bit more, but I rarely hear it played or mentioned.
