Eclectic, reminiscent of Actress' broken beats, "No Future" is both an homage to all things techno, and a glimpse at a decayed society destined to self-combust. It's difficult to pinpoint a favorite track, as the album must really be heard as a whole, akin to studying a painting. Acid glitches, discombobulated voices, rolling bass-lines, rough edges and stumbling beats are peppered with a hint of piercing melody here and there. A truly unique voice in contemporary techno, "NF" is accessible enough to please those looking for a dark, moody techno album and experimental enough to appease fans of more "out-there" electronic artists such as Demdike Stare, Andy Stott, OPN and Jay Daniel. A step up from his debut album "Shelter", "NF" is severely underrated and highly recommended.
