- Edited 6 months agoGuess I’m in the minority here but to me this is a very very boring comp. a few decent tunes but come on… first half of second side is a redundant joke. My guess is people mostly like this for the mystique and aesthetic of the label than the actual music
- Lovely music but once again the download via MPO did not work. Luckily the label was forthcoming when I mailed them.
- This compilation worked very well in 2017's independant 'obscure' (à la mode) scene. Andy Rantzen's track was the hit and been played in mixes/clubs quite a lot while the rest of compilation certainly be played a lot at home.
An outstanding selection of amazing recordings from a period where creativity was alive and full of secrets.
I think and hope we will hear a second chapter till this one stars to get old!
We can notice a large amount of copies pressed, and that's zuuuuper ! The pressing is excellent.
+ It permitted to get a lot of stuff released from Andy Rantzen. - Incredible collection of 80's obscure Australian minimal wave and experimental music - much of it on the legendary M-squared label. Every track a winner. Kudos to the Efficient Space label for putting this together.
