- What a record. I will never understand why some records end up worth toss and others don't. I suspect with this it was only the people thad had it knew what it was.
- The story behind the ”remix” on the B side is that Kenny Dope sampled ”Grandma’s Rocking Chair” pretty heavily on ”The Illout” in 2000 but never credited the sample nor gave any reply when the copyright owners tried to contact him about it. Thus Finnish DJs Anonymous and Didier created their own tongue-in-cheek re-edit (basically done live juggling two copies of the 12") of the Kenny Dope track and released it here.
- B-sides remix is off da hook with O'l dirty bastard talking in the intro and after a ''endlessly long percussion beat breakdown'' O'l dirty start's again and track hit's again and offer's a ticket to space!
- Love Records is not Danish, nor Swedish but Finnish.
This particular track is taken from Ahvenlahti's second LP, the Poet which was released by Love in 1976. The album is a somewhat ok fusion record, with fine funky moments. Not too ruff but quite gentle and relaxed, with nice solos from leading Finnish players. Love has released Poet on CD, so if dig this, you should propably get the whole album.
This 12" has the original song, which is a latin flavoured fusion track and a remix, which basically has some samples of the original plus a lot of beats.
