I just uploaded images of matrix/runout to help buyers identifying this first pressing from later reissues.

I don't have a first pressing myself, and I've alredy been "burned" with two different sellers on this issue. The information you want is already on Discogs, one of the original pressings came apparently with a hype sticker. The problem is that only the runout numbers will tell you, al represses look exactly the same, barcode and everything. If it's sealed, it's very probably a repress.

BEWARE of sellers that sell reissues as original pressings. If it’s sealed it’s 99% a reissue. They all look exactly the same but for the runout info, ask for it before buying.

I think this pressing sounds fine. Really nice. The last track sounds different, but I think it's from a different session/production/source, but it's not bad or anything. Great album.

My sealed copy was filthy, but plays fine after a thorough wet cleaning. I’m quite sure I’ve read that the producer Mark Robson did some sort of tweaking to the sound to make it sound like a “vintage” recording. I think that may be what is giving it that compressed, congested, shrill sound. The half speed mastered deluxe 2 LP version may sound different, I have not compared the two.

Not sure about the pressing. But definitely sounds like it was not mastered for vinyl. Sounds compressed. There is not depth. Kind of it was a mp3 version of the master transferred to the vinyl. Not enjoyable IMO.

Sonido pésimo, el streaming se oye mejor, no sé como han masterizado esto pero han vuelto a matar a Amy

Dead silent after my usual clean of a new record. A bit compressed but enjoyable.

It’s clean. But a cramped and compressed sound stage. Sounds like it was a digital master, but was the record recorded digital? Even if so, I don’t think much of this pressing. It has no personality, feels shallow. Feels like it’ll hurt my head after a full listen.

My copy sounds pretty good. Quiet 180g vinyl. I have both US and UK pressing. The UK is just a little louder. I really enjoy both.
