I used to obsessively collect Mike’s tunes back in the day. Even four or five years ago you could pick them up for a fiver or so. Like everything eventually, quality shines through and prices go up. Mike is one of the best unsung UK 2step and raw Garage producers out there. Before he started producing Mike Skinner. For me, totally underrated but should be up there with MJ Cole, and EL B, Zed Bias, Steve Gurley etc.
Mike is in good company with other legendary Garage producers like T J Cases, Myron, Templeton Peck there are so many that helped shape that south London bumping sound, heard from tower block pirates and booming out from car stereos. Heady times. So many good tunes and good times. Mr Millrain, you played your part. Ya laaaaarge!!
