Bleary-eyed Canadian five track deep house EPs are my favorite electronic sub-genre of the waning '10s... Music for the wee hours, for introspective nights and intercontinental flights, for waiting at the ferry terminal in oceanic morning mist; let the music wash away the world for a moment. Neo Image does it here with subaquatic lows and cosmic ambience. After hours Impressionism, all reflection, playful reverberation and soft edge. Its three brothers and sisters in spirit: Jayda G - Jaydaisms, Cloudface - Super You, Yu Su - Preparations For Departure.

This record sharts in the face of 99% of releases in the "deep house" category these days. If you like Leo Gunn or the "Deep Explorer" sound this record is all you. The single piece that sets this apart from the competition is the dub influenced bass frequencies. They are magic carpets for your soul.

This is one of my favorite mood hut release with the Kinetic Electronix album, there is no "big hit" here (in a commercial way) unlike other releases on the same label, but the whole thing is beautiful.

Pressing seems quiet, but I guess it's a long record. Positive pressure and Winskill Dub have the most DJ-able vibes, but I'd say they're all special. 4B (Dab Mix) is a favorite for me, sounds like travelling through space with the floating points ensemble, beautiful synths awash in reverb and echoes.
