Every once in a while there comes a mix that one can listen for a long long time. These types of mixes are scarse.
It's the case of this one, it will be fresh for 5 years on regular rotation and will reach classic status soon while remaining timeless for many more years.
Soul Clap are real masters, modern thinkers.
I'm a huge fan of their work, since Break 4 Life and the EFunk Album and Singles.
Their labels are a must (Soul Clap, Crew Love, Gator Boots and Wolf+Lamb) and the Mixmag mixes are also absolute essential and timeless classics, as also is the more recent Watergate 19...
...But this one i reconn it's from another dimension. A mix like this one is at a very high standard and the reason is that it's not easy to achieve a smooth result as the guys did here when there are so many tracks included in an 80 min mix.
In a Techno mix, it's an easy thing to do (although the result is rarely pleasant to my ears) but in a House context the dificulty is even greater because there are normally so many more harmonies, melodies, voices, etc, making it harder to mix and match and keep it coherent...
...But the guys succeded largely in my opinion, the whole set is smooth and with a great mood, it has an excellent selection of tracks and close to perfect transitions and programming.
This is a mix where the result is greater than the sum of its parts, or as i like to often say, a set with head, trunk and limbs.

Essential, timeless and classic.
