It dawned on me while listening to this...without Tom Jones, there never could have been a Michael Bolton. They both knew how to bellow out a song with brute force, bluster and no hint of subtlety. This single LP packs 58+ minutes of music onto two sides, and it's a bit thin sounding. My copy is in fine shape. But I doubt I'll ever listen to this dreck again.

Another exciting Tom Jones live album to compliment "Live at the Talk of the Town," & "Live in Las Vegas."
Tom has his act down, and everybody knows what to expect at this point in 1971. Johnnie Spence and the band are in top form, as usual. Hayes & Porter's "Soul Man" gets a decent Jonesing, and side two is certainly where the LP comes alive, featuring a near album-sided medley of hits and shake-downs. Mr. Jones interacts with the crowd, drinking their drinks and kissing their children throughout. No big deal, just another night at Caesar's for Tom Jones.
Well recorded. I'm sure it sounds better on the 2X LP. This review is for the single LP MFP UK version.
