Not bad sound but not audiophile level. It sounds compressed/peak limited, a bit fatiguing to listening...- I contacted the audiophile series company asking if they would consider remastering it in surround because I had this album in quadraphonic sound on 8 track tape back in the day and it was AMAZING! You have never heard "Frankenstein" before until you have heard the long version in surround sound!! Everyone should push to get this done. There are master four channel surround tracks out there somewhere and it would be easy to do this for a company. They could even take preorders and payments first to make sure it would be worth their while financially to do it.
- If only this disc was remastered in a multi-channel SACD or DVD-A format! MAN IT WOULD BE THE BOMB.
