Reviews
- great album but in my opinion it s too experimental and you see the character of this album as an EP which was originally intended
- Imo Zooropa was them at their peak. Solid tunes, plenty of electronic sounds, lots of experimentation (defo not Passengers but you can see how they came about). Pop a close 2nd and ATYCLB 3rd .... all 3 are belters but Zooropa nicks it.
Has aged well ..... - Edited 8 years agoI will tell you why this is album is worth all the way - "The Wanderer", with Johnny Cash,
and of course, Flood production. To me, the most interesting U2 album.
The rest of their discography I just ignore. Never liked U2 that much. - Nice album from a great band. But the most remarkable on this album is the.....title! One of the most apocalyptic words.....This is ZOOROPA!
- Edited 8 years agoJust purchased the pink vinyl 2010 re-issue. It sounds terrible. Does anyone have any information about how the 2010 version was pressed? A lot of sound detail has been lost, especially on the top end. This is my favorite U2 album. I would LOVE if the band decided to undertake
an official remaster of this album. - Their last great record, and my favorite U2 record. So rich, full of experimentation and diversity...
- Edited 18 years agoOf all the U2 albums i have listened too, this has had plenty of rotation in my cd-player than any others, more than 'The Joshua Tree' even. It,s very easy listenable. Plus its probably the first U2 album to flirt and experiment a great deal with electronic sounds. There is loads of quality on this like 'Lemon' and 'some days are better than others'.. Almost every song on this has a certain degree of quality and my personal favourite is 'Stay'.
I used to listen to this alot 5-6 years ago. And i recently pulled it out again. Suberb chilled-music, perfect to have in the background when you are doing something what ever it might be. Very underated too..
