- Imagine that a repress appears after almost a decade, everyone gets hyped, you preorder this feeling like a kid waiting for christmas and then it ends up sounding like total shit. And looking like total shit. Because this one does both. The pressing itself sounds like 128kbps mp3 pressed on a record. Compressed, muffled, muddy, silent (to the point you literally need to crank the volume up like 70% compared to other records) with bass completely burried in the mix. The sleeve literally looks like it could have been a pirate copy/unofficial pressing (don't expect any glossy/hotfoil elements the 2014 repressed or the CD version had). It's a sad testimony of what record collecting became these days - half-assed cash grab joke of a pressing that's only good for hanging on your wall. It's like they did not even try to make this sound/look good. The vinyl record itself looks nice, but for what when it sounds like shit. Lets hope we will get a proper sounding repress sometimes in 2030....
- Edited 11 months agoIt sounds good, except there’s what I’d describe as a low pitched hum happening throughout this album - particularly on side 1.
- Great pressing- no issues with the "quiet"-ness mentioned by another reviewer on my set up. Crisp sound. High clarity, nice soundstage. These are official releases from multiple storefronts.
- Rather good pressing, definitely not bad. Very happy that it’s 1LP. I don’t hear any sibilants, although I am very sensitive to them.
- Very disappointed with this pressing. It's mastered so low that even with a pre amp I'm cranking this way louder than I should have to.
It's also very sibilant across the board which is rather harsh.
Lots of mud and mid sounding all around, needs a dose of high end in the mix.
