My only explanation is that Mr.Rainwater got a bad copy - mine sounds pretty good, and is clearly not 'remastered' from a scratched LP. I think the original is not a stellar expression of studio art, but rather a rough affair, and this disk sounds pretty consistently with what digital copies I can gather from out there. The artwork is really good, with a matte, tip-on sleeve.
Very crackling pressing, taken from a bad quality original! Could not believe this should be a official repress.
