Packaging/Delivery We use deluxe cartons for LPs, mail-lite/jiffy type packets for small CD orders (and easy letter box delivery) and cartons for larger CD orders. We pride ourselves with our packing, and we will always do our best to give you the best speedy service.
Pay before 2:00pm UK time weekdays (before 10:00am Saturdays) and we'll usually send the same day.
Tracking: There is no tracking of standard post in the UK, or from the UK to anywhere else. Royal Mail charges extra for their tracked services. If you require tracking, it's £1.25 in the UK, or £5.25 on international post. Tracking is included in our UK 1kg+ prices.
Insurance: Expensive items need to be insured. All our prices for UK packages of 1kg or more are including "singed for" insured delivery. We will not send anything rare or worth more than £20 to new Discogs buyers with no rating, or new customers from former Eastern Europe, Asia or South American countries, without some sort of insurance. Standard "Signed For" service (outside the UK) is £5.25, Parcel insurance is more (ask for a quote). Note that all customs declarations need to be actual replacement or full value (for rarities) to be correctly insured.
Please be sure your address info is correct and safe. We are not responsible if items are returned.
Payments: PayPal payment is preferred. All major credit/debit cards are also accepted (recorded/insured mail only). Other payment methods must be GBP/£ Sterling with all fees pre-paid by you.
Grading: We examine all new stocks as they arrive, avoiding problems with faulty pressings, missing/wrong discs, etc. (so we don't always sell still sealed new items), and we strictly grade second-hand items, both visually and by playing them.
Returns & Refunds In the unlikely event of anything being wrong: 1. please contact us first. 2. keep the packaging intact. 3. share photos of any evidence. In most cases customers are responsible for the cost of returning items. Any refunds are for goods only.
Ultima Thule have been in the business of selling music by mail for 30 years. You are safe with us! Remember to give us feedback when you receive your order and I will leave you feedback in return.
re: negative votes we've had. 1. "Record described as new had badly worn edges on sleeve, record was warped, and centre hole was too small. I had to return the record at my own expense, and seller still had the audacity to leave neutral feedback for me. Won't be buying from again." - this was in fact brand new vinyl (as witnessed by the bizarre "centre hole was too small" comment, i.e. the record had never been played), 2. "I got scratched vinyl" - this was a perfect condition bootleg/repro copy of Eduard Artemiev's "Solaris" soundtrack which is ripped from a second-hand copy of the Japanese vinyl, thus crackle heard was in the source, the record was not scratched. I think Discogs sellers should be wary of that purchaser
