About Us: Kinesis (KinesisCD) was established as a progressive rock CD label in 1991 and began selling prog CDs online before there was an eBay or amazon. In other words, we have a lot of experience shipping to all destinations. Too much experience. The majority of our CDs/DVDs are factory-sealed new copies and are noted as such. Except for a few odd size items, our used CDs ship either shrinkwrapped or in plastic sleeves, in new jewel cases where applicable. All our vinyl is second-hand and is stored and shipped in protective plastic sleeves (Laserdiscs too). Vinyl is graded visually.
For most of our items, the shipping rates are calculated in the Discogs cart, so payment is due at the time an order is placed. If a customer aborts payment, Discogs still lets the order go through in an "invoice sent" state. We often have multiple copies of titles so it isn't an issue then, but our CDs/DVDs/Blu-rays are also for sale on other platforms, and they don't get deleted there until the last copy has been purchased (meaning paid for). It is first-come, first-served, so please be aware that if someone else pays for the last copy of a CD before you get around to it, they get the CD.
Our shipping rates include insurance.
CDs/DVDs/Blu-rays (some heavy, multi-disc sets count as more than one CD for shipping):
Please don't include CDs/DVDs/Blu-rays in the same order with vinyl or Laserdiscs. Shipping to U.S. destinations is $3.95 for the first CD (or DVD), $1.25 each for the next 2 CDs, $1.00 each for the next 7 CDs, and $0.50 each additional. Shipping to U.S. destinations is via the U.S. Postal Service: First Class Mail for parcels weighing less than 1 lb and Priority Mail for parcels weighing 1 lb or more. All parcels have a tracking number that we provide to you.
Shipping to Canada is $9.95 for the first CD (or DVD), $4.00 for the second CD, and $1.75 each additional. Shipping to Canada is via First-Class Package International Service (generally airmail to Western Canada, ground to Eastern Canada). All parcels have a tracking number that we provide to you.
To most countries in Europe and Asia (including Australia & New Zealand), shipping is $12.95 for the first CD (or DVD), $7.00 for the second CD, and $2.50 each additional. Shipping is via First-Class Package International Service (airmail). Larger orders (above 0.9 kg) will be shipped via Priority Mail flat rate padded envelope at no extra charge, provided the items fit in that envelope.
To South & Central America and Mexico, shipping is $13.95 for the first CD (or DVD), $8.00 each for the next 2 CDs, $4.00 each for the next 4 CDs, and $1.50 each additional. For reasons of reliability, shipping is via Priority Mail International (PMI) except for orders of 1-2 CDs, which must still go via First-Class (standard airmail) due to the high starting cost of PMI. PMI is expedited and is tracked to most destinations.
To Bulgaria, Poland, Romania, Russia and all other Commonwealth of Independent States countries (including Ukraine), South Africa: Our insurance options to these countries are limited and/or the reliability of these postal systems may be a problem, so we must use the more expensive Priority Mail International (PMI). The shipping charge is $13.95 for the first CD (or DVD), $9.50 each for the next 2 CDs, $3.50 each for the next 5 CDs, and $2.00 each additional. Orders for 1-2 CDs will still ship via First-Class (standard airmail) due to the high starting cost of PMI; these rates reflect higher insurance costs.
All our First-Class International parcels to the following countries have a tracking number that we provide to you: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Croatia, Cyprus, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Gibraltar, Greece, Hong Kong, Hungary, Iceland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Lebanon, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Malta, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Serbia, Singapore, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland, Thailand, Turkey, United Kingdom. At this time, these are the only countries that support tracking of this class of mail.
Please don't include CDs, DVDs, or Blu-rays in the same order with vinyl or Laserdiscs, it just makes us miserable. For vinyl, the shipping rate should be calculated automatically. Within the U.S., 12" vinyl and Laserdiscs will ship via Media Mail. For Laserdiscs, we'll calculate the shipping charge after you submit your order, or you can ask us to give you a quote based on your location and the items you're interested in. Shipping these large, heavy items outside the U.S. is expensive.
