Seller's Shipping Information
12" SHELLACS postage is $36 to world (Canada is $26). $3.25 postage in USA. Overseas--may be best to grab a 10" shellac (free postage basically)--the weight on this 2.1 pounds (on 12") makes this a wise option with a 12" shellac
GENERAL: You may remember me as pskorst or bigbillkorst or bigbillkorst2 (check that feedback) on ebay --I am the 78 dealer who uses real US postage stamps. I have sold nearly 6500 78 records over on ebay over the last 5 years. I am going to be listing 1000s to 10000s records on Discogs now along with my still active ebay stores + Bonanza.com (duplicates for inactive ebay items mostly). I may have some photos if you wish to see the shellac /or vinyl on many of my listings. Can't throw my pictures on all these listings (many of the 78s are my photos though)--message me on photos if I don't have mine pictured--I'll try and email to you. If you have a particular 78 or a Jazz LP you are looking for--send me a message Ill see if I got a copy--I have nearly 100,000 from an old great Jazz collection.
GRADING (Visual): E+ (or NM), E, E-, V+, V, V-, Poor **I rarely use E+ or NM on 78s, mostly on vinyl LPs or 45s, and rarely on those--strict grading
VINYL GRADING (play grade)- general rule (most 95% of my Jazz /pop LPS have been screened for skips and excessive noise--noted if present, thats the extent of play grade) ---the older the vinyl (early 50s 10" especially) the noisier they are--some better some worse--but expect noisiness. Some people like the vintage vinyl noise (my brother)--I am simply stating it exists on most 50s and some 60s vinyl. All vinyl have noise--the older ones have more noise then the newer ones --just a fact. Please be aware of this.
VINYL GRADING (Visual !!): My LPs are visually graded, most of the LPs I have/am listing are from an OLD and well cared for HUGE Jazz record collection (50K to 75K 78s, LPs + 45s). Many times the vintage vinyl (1950s + 1960s Jazz / pop) from this collection, visually grade above average E to E- visually sharp, they are obviously not scratched or abused, they are so old that they have some background noise in most to many cases ( they all have noise to some degree). My brother is recording many/ most of these Jazz /pop LPs before I list them and he notes if there is abnormally bad noisiness or obvious defects--this is NOT a play grade--he just notes the real obvious bad stuff. Like I stated before, most vintage vinyl + 78s have noise -some are better some are worse. The letter grades are strictly visual.
LOWER GRADE or CRACKED SALE: If you find 3 or more - 78s or any records (no transcriptions)-- that are all G+ or worse; G+ = V- or cracked ( V- or worse or V to V- in the description--message me) I will take 20-25% (depending on the records) off the sale price of all 3 or more. Not the postage. Will barter. The cracks must be sort of serious--not fine hair cracks that NAP or minor lams--should be obvious in description. Message me when you want to use this discount so I can get it done in 1 listing and make sure everything looks good for this big discount -the other discount does not apply with this one. Thanks for reading the fine print.
PHOTOS of 78s: If I say I have 3 or more photos above and you only see 2 or so (try edit images under the edit release or more images buttons and you will be able to see the disabled nice photos of the quality of the shellac).
DOMESTIC POSTAGE (USA) $2.65 on a 45 or a regular size CD; $3.25 for 1 LP or 78 or 16" Transcription or Hit of the Week--(sorry no combined shipping pricing-- my pricing system is based on the $3.25 per record on Domestic US orders). 78 set of 3 or 4 records $4.50 in USA
INTERNATIONAL POSTAGE is: 1- 10" 78 or LP is $23.50 to world to Canada $16; 1 or (possibly 2- -very close) depends on the weights of the 12" shellacs is $36 to world, $26 to Canada; 45 or regular size CD to world (or Hit of the Week) $15 ; $10.50 to CAN; (2- 5) 45s or 1 or 2s (most LPs not all on 2) LP is $23.50 anywhere in world; 1 -16" Transcription same as LP or 78 $23.50; 1- 78 or 2LPs is $16 to Canada; 3 LPs or 2-3 78s or lots of 45s is $36 World; $26 to Canada; 4-5 records have to calculate anywhere-- about $53-60-- Canada about $36-42 -just spitballing those- 78 sets (4 disc) will /should be $54 postage to world--and $38 to Canada unless they happen to tip over 4 lbs (laminated 78s like red Columbias are heavy and will tip over 4lbs ( I just did a Columbia set--it went an ounce over)--expect $68 postage or so on those heavier sets)- -Heavy album or 5-6 discs or something--most don't tip over 4lbs--postage jumps nearly $20 then on 5-6 discs). Have to weigh it exactly in most cases. ***The International automatic postage setup may be defective especially on singles from sets and other things--- message me and I will get the postage a little less then what it will actually cost, and if the automatic postage thing for some reason throws out $2.65 or $3.25 etc. postage on an international order--thats a defect and I can't honor that postage-- it is for USA addresses only.
** DISCOUNT** If you buy 3-4 records and/or CDs (check pfkorst ID name too for more records--they count towards this discount too) 3-4 discs I will take 10% off the SALE PRICE; 5 records or more 18% off the SALE PRICE!!! **DISCOUNT** DISCOUNTED RECORDS MUST BE PURCHASED AT THE SAME TIME (within 24 hours please --message me if you plan on buying some a few hours later please--after buying 1-2 for example)--buying multiples for a discount may be a better deal on ebay check me there pskorst and bigbillkorst and will get those going there if possible --individual record sales to anywhere will be close to the same price here as on ebay. My discretion if one record is abnormally priced eg. $200 and two $3.00 records discounts may be adjusted in cases like that, also discount does not apply if best offer feature is used.
