Seller Terms

*NEW SHIPPING RATES EFFECTIVE JANUARY 27, 2019*

The US Postal Service is raising its rates effective January 27, 2019.

U.S. Customers

Media Mail rates (for LP shipments and CD/7”/CS orders > 12 ounces) are not changing.

First Class: First Class rates apply to 1-4 ounces, 5-8 ounces, and 9-12 ounces “bands,” so shipping cost will be the same for 1 or 2 7”s, 3 or 4 7”s, etc. Packages > 12 ounces will be shipped Media Mail.

Non-U.S. Customers
Shipping prices are slightly increasing.

International shipping note:
USPS has “tiers” at which International rates change. Instead of changing every 4 ounces, they now change at 8 ounces, then 2 pounds, so a package with 3 7”s (10 ounces) can cost the same as a package with 12 7”s.

Shipping rates below are for items of “standard” weight. “Standard” weight means regular weight for a normal record in a normal weight sleeve. (Think Van Halen II when it was first issued.) With the proliferation of deluxe 150-, 180-, 210-gram, etc. records and deluxe sleeves, however, “standard” weight often no longer applies. Shipping rates may be higher for large, bulky or non-standard weight items, so please be aware of this before you place your order.

*PLEASE READ*
We have been selling records through the mail since 1989 and do our best to ensure that your order arrives in the same condition as when it was shipped. Our Discogs feedback speaks for itself. We typically use brand new Uline or Bags Unlimited LP (or other size) mailers with cardboard pads on both sides of the record(s). However, we cannot guarantee that the U.S. Postal Service will not somehow find a way to damage your package once it leaves our hands, so insurance is always recommended.

On rare occasions, we have seen the Post Office handling packages roughly, dropping them, etc., resulting in “dinged” corners or split seams in the sleeves.

For LP shipments, where possible, we take the record and inner sleeve out of the jacket to prevent seam splits during shipping. Note that in some cases it may not be physically possible to do this, due to the way a record is packaged. FOR SEALED ITEMS, our default is to NOT open the sleeve and ship the record/inner sleeve outside the jacket, so if you want us to do this, please let us know.

We can also do this for 7”s, 10”s, etc. -- just let us know. Our default is to ship 7”s in the jacket, not outside the jacket.

Insurance is available on USA orders:
Order value $1 - $100: $1.50
Order value $101 - $200: $3.00
Order value over $200: $4.25

Insurance is available on foreign orders:
Order value $1 - $100: $2.25
Order value $100 - $200: $4.50
Order value $200 - $300: $6.75

IF YOU ENCOUNTER A DAMAGED PACKAGE, PLEASE LET US KNOW AND WE CAN WORK SOMETHING OUT
The last thing we want is negative feedback out of the blue when, in our eyes, we packaged the order as well as we could and it was simply mistreated in transit. The Post Office is not perfect, but we have no control over how they handle your package once it leaves our hands. We are also record buyers ourselves and are never happy to receive something that was damaged in transit, so we can work with you to reach an amicable conclusion.

If you would like to purchase insurance for your order, please indicate so when you place your order.
