Description

Ambient music refers to a kind of music that envelops the listener without drawing attention to itself. The Term is created 1974 by Brian Eno's AMBIENT 1 "Music for Airports". Ambient Music must be able to accommodate many levels of listening attention without enforcing one in particular; it must be as ignorable as it is interesting. — Brian Eno (Music for Airports liner notes, September 1978).
