Instrumental Style Overview
Instrumental Music Description
Instrumental music is typically songs without any vocals. Songs of this style may fit into almost any genre as they are typically the same as the original songs, just without vocals.
In commercial popular music, instrumental tracks are sometimes renderings, remixes of a corresponding release that features vocals, but they may also be compositions originally conceived without vocals. One example of a genre in which both vocal/instrumental and solely instrumental songs are produced is blues. Easy Listening Jazz and Surf Rock are two particularly common producers of Instrumentals. Reggae has their 'Dub' versions and many dance tracks will feature extended instrumental versions.
