Noise Style Overview

Noise Music Description

A strain of experimental music, often characterised by harsh sounds freely improvised, or allowed to exist in an abstract manner. Largely initially associated with Japanese acts from the 1980s and 1990s, preceded by industrial, and often later combined with drone and electronica, sometimes as rhythmic noise, which has its own tag.

Noise rock does not yet have its own tag (although noisecore does), so it appears acceptable to add 'noise' to such releases.
