Popular in the later 1990's/early-2000's, after Grunge and Alternative Rock left the mainstream. Typically, this describes harder rock or metal that's influenced by hip-hop.
Rapcore, Rap-Rock or Rap-Metal seeks to fuse the most aggressive elements of hardcore rap and heavy metal, and became an extremely popular variation of alternative metal during the late '90s.
