Slowcore Music Description
Slowcore is style of rock all about setting a mood that's bleak. Traditionally, this is accomplished with downbeat melodies, slow tempos and lyrics that are dark, depressing and or pessimistic.
In the 2010s, Sadcore was founded, a micro-style that incorporates upbeat and or sweeping orchestral melodies into Slowcore, giving the bleak lyrics an ironic contrast. the mood is often more grand, theatrical, and melodramatic compared to its parent style as well.
