Thrash Style Overview
Thrash Music Description
Thrash (or thrash metal) is an extreme subgenre of heavy metal music characterized by its overall aggression and often fast tempo. The songs usually use fast percussive beats and low-register guitar riffs, overlaid with shredding-style lead work.
Groove metal, often associated with neo-thrash/post-thrash and power groove, is a term sometimes used to describe an derivative subgenre of thrash metal and death metal, heavy metal which took its current form during the early 1990s.
