This comment is absolutely priceless. The Tidal version is absolutely blown out of the water by the MFSL.

Great all-analog alternative to the Classic Records reissue. Nice sounding record.

I found House of the Holy Classic Records to be far, far superior to the current 2014 John Davis remaster. As your system improves, you hear more of what these have to offer and why they’re so sought after,

I tried 3 of the EU copies, pressed by GZ, and they all had constant noise, clicks etc...also the vinyl was poor quality with marks and dirty looking (i did clean them). The US copy was much the quieter version.

Much quieter vinyl than the EU copy and same mastering 👍

I just bought the US pressing, it is pressed from the same ‘JONZ’ mastering, but the vinyl I found was without the unacceptable levels of noise that the GZ copy has. I recommend it if you find the EU copy too noisy.

Really sounds good this pressing, don’t hesitate if you like this record.

RTI is one of the better pressing plants out there. Most records are minutely off centred, but I have never noticed any particular problems with Mofi pressings.

Nah the Chris Bellman cut isn’t as good as the Mofi One Step....

Just picked up this original of AWII and it’s one of the better sounding Frusciante releases I’ve heard. Kevin Gray cut this and did a great job.

Yes I think most of these newer budget players have very light, cheaply made tone arms and skip even with the increased tracking weight they apply. You can get a much better used table off eBay for a cheap price. It just doesn’t make sense.

Much better and cleaner sounding than the GZ pressing, highly recommended if you want this remaster with clean vinyl.

Quiet, flat white vinyl and the mastering is very good on this. Recommended.

Nothing wrong with the sound of this pressing at all, sounds very nice and I was quite impressed. As long as you have enough gain and can crank it then it sounds fine. I had to turn it up a little more but not massively. Those complaining may not have ... See full review

Great pressing. Uses the original US plates/mastering done at Metropolis, which is much superior to the original U.K./EU copy. Great depth and really happy with this pressing.

Not really, the original vinyl of this was pretty terrible.

Not to disagree with you, as I’ve not heard it, but I wonder if the original would beat the Mofi as it would be cut using fresh tape?

If the comments here are saying it has CB in the deadwax then why is it not in the matrix info provided here?

Is the reason for your comment that this is amazing purely down to receiving a quiet pressing?

Warped as hell, really frustrating...MPO stuffing these booklets in, they warped most of these PJ reissues!

Sounds pretty great this pressing. Has plenty of depth and a great listen!

You know for a fact that it was cut directly from the master tapes? A lot of vinyl from that era was digitally sourced....all accounts I’ve heard are that the original vinyl is poor sounding.

Terrible pressing. Mine was warped. The big issue with Optimal pressings at the moment though is the amount of no-fill in their records. Especially coloured pressings they seem to have problems with at the moment.

Being mastered using Direct Metal Mastering doesn’t automatically make a release ‘audiophile’. In any case, I can’t see it bettering the reissue due to particularly the length per side.

Yep MPO runouts here, great news! I thought the GZ pressing was filthy, marked and had a lot of surface noise. Really enjoying this new pressing done right!

So because the record sounds ‘crisp and clear almost like the cd’, you’re impressed with it? Why not just go for bootlegs then if that’s all you’re after? They’re mostly cut from cds anyway so you’d be happy with most of them...

Pretty average. The Simply Vinyl ones are quite a bit superior, especially Woodface.

Bob Ludwig no longer cuts lacquers. He masters digitally only....these are digitally sourced and the files were sent over to Sean Magee who cut them at Abbey Road. If you ever see Bob Ludwig’s name on any hype sticker now, you know it comes from digital ... See full review

Dont agree with this at all. And if you’re liking the sound of bootlegs (you say the bootleg of No Code is wonderful), then that’s quite strange in itself as the vast majority are garbage and just poorly mastered from cd copies. Upgrade your setup and ... See full review

Nope, it’s been recut. If it was the same then the original would have the exact same matrix. This has been recut in the Netherlands. Every time a lacquer is cut, it is ‘remastered’.

You got a bad pressing, it is highly unlikely that the whole batch is noisy as it was pressed at RTI

These original Kings of Leon pressings are terrible sound quality. The recuts by Chris Bellman at Bernie Grundman mastering are so superior, it’s not even close!
