From what I've read, the Laurent Garnier remix was removed (quite rapidly) from the album because of personal disagreements between him and Jarre. They are indeed well known to dislike each other; Garnier amongst others mocked and ranted against ... See full review

It seems to be quite common on Italian releases. I remember dozens of releases where the credited writer had apparently nothing to do with the actual artist, including but not limited to Traxtorm releases.
