And what do you typically expect from “best of” compilations?? New tracks? Never before released material?? Name tells you exactly what to expect. Well, maybe not you but most people.

These tracks were used by Darkraver in his sets a lot back in those days (even till now he uses some of them) so no, it's not just his face on a random compilation, tracks were likely selected by him.

"Fool" is out of this world!!! WOW, playing this track for xxxxth time now. Great voice/drum roll combo!
Not 100% sure if opera voice is taken from "Fifth Element" but sure as hell sounds like it. |

I don't see Skullblower on this CD. Which track number??

There's just way too many happy pop-core tracks here for this compilation to be called nightmare anything.
"A Message From Hell" is a stand out track here. Add "Gabber Baby" and 2 or 3 more at best to the list of good ones and rest should be in "Happy ... See full review |

Awesome raw hard-core-techno CD but what makes it more special is that it has 3 tracks from 2 top notch gabber producers Rob Gee and DJ Delirium under different alias' (tracks 2,8,9) All 3 of these tracks were never released anywhere else so they are ...

All tracks on this compilation (as well as Vol.1) were originally released on Mokum.

My release is in a regular single CD jewel case with artwork that 100% matches it. Same everything including 2107003 number but packaged in a single CD jewel case, not "1 CD inside fat double case". So looks like there are 2 different copies of this out.

Hearing this mix for the first time in 2016 and just in one listening session it goes in my top 10 all time favorite list.
SIIIIICK mix form start to finish. Not a single filler track, no minute wasted on intros, warm ups, noise breaks or whatever ... See full review |

I know who I am and I am reading this, still makes no sense lol Question is who are YOU?? |

CD 1 is 1 track. Most of the time all you hear is "machine-gun" speedcore. As much as I love the style itself it gets boring rather quickly, I find myself skipping it all the time. Some noises in the background, effects, minimal voice samples, some guitar ...

Best part about this compilation? Fact that most of these tracks are NOT available on Braindead series. You still get all the craziness, speed, hardness, wickedness, weirdness you'd expect from oldskool shockwave but it all sounds a bit ...

Surprisingly awesome "best of". I say surprisingly only because somehow a lot of these best of's always miss most of the tracks that really deserve to be there and/or don't include any never before released pearls/remixes. This one has it all AND splits ...

Not looking to get into who ripped off who argument as I know nothing about it but what does "Jackhammer is back and Storm is back" mean?? You wrote it 3 years ago - is he back producing? DJing? Promoting/throwing parties? New releases coming out on ...

Omar is a legend with many classic tracks and mixes still highly thought of. With that said this CD takes the top of all his work ever. It stood out back in 1999 as pointed out by other reviewers and does till this day. Everything from typical gabber to ...

One of those CDs that never got aknowledgement it deserves neither when it came out nor years later. IMHO this is a fantastic high energy mix that does the job right. Smooth mixing, great track selection that flows absolutely perfect, no annoying breaks ...

That awkward moment when album is titled "Be a voice not an echo" yet all I hear is echo.
There's nothing new, innovative or different in this album than what you currently hear on majority of current gabber parties/albums/compilations. In the matter ... See full review |

Seems like this compilation was never mastered, simply copy/pasted from different Samurai records. Each track has a different volume to it which defeats entire purpose of this compilation. All tracks are readily available from different cd compilations, ...

IMO this is TIEUM's absolute best.
Beats mixed with beats layered with distorted beats and mixed in with more beats you never thought were there. Absolute insane energy, no music or melodies, no singing or "epic" breakdowns, no time wasted to let you ... See full review |

100% agree with previous review. First few volumes are pretty much all happyhardcore/happy gabba. Visuals do not match audio.
As far as audio goes - most tracks on first 3 volumes could have been released under ID&T's "Happy Hardcore" and "Happy Rave" ... See full review |

Here's what it says on the cover:
23 tracks of goa, rave, gabber & trance music In reality it's all pitched up happy rave/happy hardcore with typical cheesy piano riffs. Gabber? Not even close. Trance/goa? Yeah right. Rave? Well, I guess since anything ... See full review |

Buzz Fuzz's mix is a "pearl" of this compilation.
From beginning to end you hear great mixing, great beats and very energetic sounds without sounding too happy, cheesy or aggressive. It's one of those flawless mixes you can play in the background while ... See full review |

Fantastic mix and track selection but what kills it is increadably low quality audio. It's like listening to a 64 bit rate mp3 file.
Does everyone else' copy sound as sh1tty as mine does?? |

CD 2 sounds like a low quality mp3 file. It's noisy and recorded at lower volume than CD 1.
At least my copy does. |

I'm not into happy hardcore/rave so CD1 and CD2 are a waste for me but CD3 is pure gold.
Brutal hardcore acid combos bordering speedcore. No cheese, nothing commercial, no "thunderdome" sound, just pure 90's hardcore techno aggression loaded with ... See full review |

Really? That's H2OH's big return after years of being inactive??
It was one of my all-time favorite labels till 1999-2000. After 2000 every release started to sound boring and gutless. Kick drum wasn't there, melodies and synth lines were waaaay ... See full review |
I own most (if not all) of Hypnotic’s hardcore/gabber/hard trance cds. Currently I’m on a nostalgic kick music wise and put together a “Best of Hypnotic Hardcore” compilation to have on my ipod.
As I’m browsing thru discogs I find most of the tracks on ... See full review |

Who put these tracks together and named them "Best of Braindead"?? A label that wanted to get all the classics in one compilation or a guy next door who happened to have Braindead 1, 3 and 5 in his collection??
There are 8 Braindead compilations (vol. ... See full review |
