Finally this album received a vinyl release.
It is probably the best album for discovering and getting into the works of Shostakovich. You have here the famous Waltz II, which some might know from Kubrik's Eyes Wide Shut, Tahiti Trot, which is an ... See full review

The A side is the star track for me. Unfortunately there are a couple of jumps on the record. Now having said that, I'm not sure if that is not actually intended, given that the name of the track is "Don't Touch Our Styli". Probably not but. In any case, ... See full review

Minimal techno at its best. Reminds me of early Robert Hood recordings.
Once the very stripped down beat, the strong groove and the hypnotic synth line locks your mind in you'll be in for quite a ride. Every time I listen to this record and then take it ... See full review

Basic Track is without a doubt a timeless cut, it will not lose its appeal nor impact. It's cool, stripped down, groovy, dubby and has a simple arrangement that makes it an equally useful tool for mashups and layering on top of other tracks.

Rej, on the ... See full review

My personal favorites from this EP are the tracks on the B side. November Pain is the highlight, with a quirky funky beat and a haunting, reverb-drenched pad that keeps pulsing in and out through the track.

Great EP overall with a cool cover.

I always felt that this was the release where Özgür Can perfected his sound. Everything after this release had that signature Özgur wackiness to it. And I think the launch of Furry Music followed suit too.

The Mingle King has an overture feel to it, it ... See full review

I guess a home run would be a fitting metaphor to describe this release. The Mr. Scruff and Kaidi Tatham track is a gorgeous slow chugger that is loaded with delicious Rhodes chords and mesmerizing flute lines with an oriental spice. I was once shopping ... See full review

After Seeing Through Shadows, Loco Dice and Martin Buttrich came up with this gorgeous EP. Subtle beats, wonderful melodies, mysterious chants and hypnotic compositions. My favorite Loco Dice EP to date.

As a previous reviewer already wrote, Father should have been the actual A side of the vinyl. It is one of the best Cadenza tracks (dare I say a classic) and probably among the top minimal/tech tracks ever. Exaggeration? Maybe, but do give it a listen if ... See full review

Back in the day, it were the Envy remixes that were very popular and sought after. With all merit, I think the Envy remixes did deserve the attention and limelight as it resonated the dark, driving sound of progressive house that was the flavor of the ... See full review

I bought the vinyl because of Senorita Tristeza. It is mellow melodic track with a lovely raindrop-like lead sound, accompanied by gorgeous piano chords and driven by a very fat (what sounds to me like an) upright bass. All this over a minimal, clean ... See full review

The D'Malicious remix was the reason that I bought this vinyl. It's an absolute stunner with it driving beat and deliciously balearic melody lines and vibes. A rare cut, top notch stuff.

If there is one word with which I were to describe this EP, it would be the word Record. This is a Record and awesome one at that.

The Freak Electrique remix something really special. Acid-laden, electro, club vibe. You put the needle on the record and you're immediately teleported to a club a la 80's. Think strobe lights and green lasers and smoke machines and mysterious ladies ... See full review

I bought it for the Stewart Walker remix, which is still my absolute favorite from the EP, but over time I've fallen in love with "Bring Me On" as well. These two have a somewhat techy-balearic vibe about them which I adore and gives them that timeless ... See full review

My favorite is the A side, and especially Viva Zapata. The whole EP in general is nice and is a great fit for any daytime, lounge bar DJ set. Breaks-y sound, nice melodies, not too intrusive and a beat-driven vibe. 3/5.

This the typical case where the B side trumps the A side (for me, at least). The First Man remix is a stunning ballad with a driving, funky break beat. The David Walters remix is something special. A bubbly, atmospheric, delay-laden affair with a touch ... See full review
