Pulsar at 33rpm is a down beat treat. Wrong speeder.

A side is really below par for Persies. A1 is messy and A2 is awful. Was gonna list for sale after playing them... then flipped to B side. 2 quality afro edits that me a this well worth holding onto. Hope the label carries on in the style of B side not ... See full review

As has been mentioned this is a terrible pressing 4MWB's really are a wack outfit. Picked up a copy cheapish, but sold it very soon after as it was pointless to own as it was annoying to listen to.

All about the B-side, a superb slice of slo-mo disco for Balearic dancefloors.

Thanks for the response. They have a couple of copies 'under the counter' at my local, so may just pick up from there is there is no issue with your copy.

KDJ put this out. As a switched on, righteous dude Moodymann knows his shit, so arguments are good and debate healthy, but I'm gonna stick with Kenny. I bought this, I play it, I like it. And yes, I am a massive fan of GSH.

The A side is barely audible - I'd rather have it split over 2 sides and a decent pressing than this.

I have 2 copies, the green centre labels are different, one forest green on text side and mint green/black on pic side and the other a mint green text side/black and white on pic side. Neither are reddish when held to the light.

Yeah, one or two work on as slow tempo tunes at 33 with a bit of pitching up, but this is clearly a 45rpm press. Happens so often that labels get 33/45 mixed up.

posted a comment on David Holmes - LateNightTales. over 2 years ago
Apparently the decision to put out a mixrd vinyl version was made by David to fit the tracks on there (one is 12 mins and another is 16 mins). It was the only way they could fit it all on four sides of vinyl. (Info via a FB exchange with Bill Brewster )

The vinyl is mixed from a quick listen - though more blends than beat mixing as is appropriate to the musical style and feel of the selections.
